welcome to the bonrad gift exchange! we are a fic exchange for the ship of belly conklin and conrad fisher. our focus is on fostering fandom connections via written gifts.currently: submissions to join the summer fic exchange are now open! you can sign up to participate here.read the fics: the gift exchange collection is housed here.

guidelines:

punctuality: to keep things fair to giftees, please submit your fic by the assigned deadline.word count: between 2500 to 15,000 words. to ensure that everyone receives a gift of a similar scope, we ask gifters to stay within the minimum and maximum word count guidelines.complete works vs. wips: to keep things fair to giftees, fics must be completed at the time of publication. wips will not be accepted even if they fall within the word count.content and tagging: gifters are encouraged to be creative with the prompts they are given! however, we ask that giftees comply with: 1) the rating guidelines requested by the giftee, e.g., if they request a t-rated fic, do not gift an e-rated fic. 2) the content that the giftee specifically requested not to read about. please do not include any content that the giftee is explicitly uncomfortable with.check-in: on the check-in date, you will receive an email or twitter dm (based on your preference) asking whether you expect your gift to be ready by the publication date. please reply within 72 hours; otherwise, we'll need to find a replacement gifter to ensure every giftee receives a gift. this check-in is simply meant to support your process. if you're unable to continue with the exchange, that's completely okay!ai: no ai-generated or ai-assisted works are permitted.communication: if any questions or issues arise (e.g., you are unable to complete your fic, uncomfortable with your prompt, need inspiration, have an issue with the rules), please reach out to the mods for anything!

what are the mods doing?
blind-matching: to ensure impartiality, all identifying information (e.g., usernames) will be removed from each submission before we assign gifters/giftees. gifts will then be assigned based on story/writing preferences! mods will not know who submitted each form (except our own) until we finish the matching process.
prompt checking & collection approving: to respect giftees' trigger warnings and comfortability, mods will briefly read each submission to ensure it doesn't include anything that the prompter specifically asked to avoid. we are not reviewing anything about your work beyond this scope!
communication: we will reply to any dms or emails within 48 hours! please always feel free to reach out to us with any issues or questions. our contact info is here.
privacy concerns
google forms: we are collecting submissions on google forms. we have set this form to be anonymous, which means that we are unable to see the email address associated with your submission.
contacting you: we ask that you provide either an email address or twitter account to contact you at. we will not share this email address with anyone outside of the mod team. we suggest creating a separate fandom email address if it makes you more comfortable.
ao3 collections: we house the submitted fics in an ao3 collection for ease of reading and sharing. mods are unable to make changes or edit your fics when they are put into this collection. they belong to you and only to you.

give a gift and get a gift! by joining the gift exchange, you are signing up to write a gift fic and receive a gift fic in return. these gifts are anonymous until the reveal date, similar to a secret santa. before filling out our form, please read our guidelines and schedule to learn more.anyone can join the exchange, provided that you have an ao3 account! all fics will be housed in our ao3 collection here. instructions will be sent out to gifters on how to add fics to collections and gift them to users.in the following form, you will be asked to provide your contact info, some guidelines for your gift, as well as outline what you are comfortable/not comfortable reading and writing. the mods will then assign you a gifter and giftee according to your form responses.
